PRIVATE TRANSPORT

BY AIR: Fly into either LEGAZPI or MASBATE. There are daily flights from Manila to Legazpi, Cebu to Legazpi and Manila to Masbate with Cebu Pacific and/or Philippine Airlines. Please check with the airline for the updated schedule as flight routes and schedules change per season.

BY LAND: Travel from Manila to Legazpi is possible by land. There are buses daily between PTIX to Legazpi Bus Station. If you have your own vehicle, you may proceed to the either of the following ports listed below to ferry to the island or to take a RORO if you wish to bring your vehicle to the island.

         BULAN – RORO which can take passengers and vehicles; private resort boat for passengers is available also.

PILAR – Outrigger ferry boat which can take passengers

         DONSOL – Private ferry boat which can take passengers

BY RORO: The RORO is short or ROLL ON – ROLL OFF. It is a large sea vessel that can take passengers and vehicles. For those that want to take their vehicle to Ticao Island Resort, please check details under SEMI PRIVATE TRANSFERS for the RORO.

LEGAZPI CITY to TICAO ISLAND RESORT

There are two options for private transfer routes from Legazpi City to Ticao Island Resort.  Travel route will be dependent on weather and with the decision of our operations team:

· The route available all year round is a 2.5 hour drive from LEGAZPI to BULAN.  A boat will be waiting at the BULAN port to take you to the resort. This will be an 1 hour boat ride.

· Although weather dependent, another possible route is a 1.5 hour drive to DONSOL. From DONSOL, it will be a 1.5 hour boat ride to the resort.

PHP 9,500 per way; arrangement is for 1 van and 1 boat with a maximum of 8 persons

MASBATE CITY to TICAO ISLAND RESORT

If you will be arriving at the Masbate Airport, the private    transfer arrangement is the one shown below. You will be fully assisted by someone to ensure that your travel will be smooth.

· Pick up from the Masbate Airport to the Masbate Seaport

· The driver will be assisting you to get on the next seacraft to Lagundi Port.

· From Lagundi Port, a private van will be waiting for you to take you to San Jacinto Port.

· At San Jacinto, a boat will be waiting for you to take you to Ticao Island Resort.

PHP 6,500 per way; arrangement is for 1 van and 1 boat with a maximum of 8 persons PLUS PHP210 per person for the ferry fees (this may be pre-paid or paid on site).

PRIVATE VAN & BOAT RATES

Ticao Island Resort will be happy to assist you with private van and boat transfers should you need just van or boat transfers and not the full route. Below are the most commonly requested rates, but if there is another route that you will need please contact us so we can assist you.

Rates are based on a PER WAY transfer and for 1 van or 1 boat with a maximum of 8 persons.

REMINDERS

· Please always have your vaccination card and any valid ID with you at all times.

· No sea transfer is allowed from 1800H until 0400H the next day. If you will be collected from Legazpi, please make sure you arrive into Legazpi no later than 1500H to be at the port by 1800H. If you have your own vehicle, please make sure you are at the port no later than 1700H as this will give us time to process any necessary  documentation for you to get on board the resort boat.

· Rules on vehicle/boat maximum capacity may change without prior notice if in case there will be new rules and limitations due to the COVID pandemic.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

LEGAZPI CITY TO TICAO ISLAND RESORT

From Legazpi to Ticao Island Resort, you have the option to :

(1) Travel by land from Legazpi to Bulan  then travel by sea from Bulan to San Jacinto.

(2) Travel by land from Legazpi to Pilar then travel by sea from Pilar to San Jacinto.

(3) Upon arrival in San Jacinto, you will need to travel from San Jacinto to Ticao Island Resort

BY LAND: LEGAZPI to BULAN or LEGAZPI to PILAR 

· If you are coming from the Bicol International Airport, there is a shuttle to SM MALL Legazpi City.

         PHP 250 per passenger

· There are public vans from LEGAZPI to BULAN, DONSOL, or PILAR. You may proceed to the UV Terminal located across SM MALL. Vans leave when they are full and don’t have a fixed schedule. Space is sold per seat. If you want more space in the public van, you may opt to purchase more “seats”. Estimated prices below:

         LEGAZPI to BULAN—PHP 250 per seat

         LEGAZPI to PILAR  – PHP 150 per seat

         LEGAZPI to DONSOL—PHP150 per seat

BY SEA:  BULAN to SAN JACINTO  or PILAR to SAN JACINTO

· The public ferry schedule and rates can be found below:

         BULAN to SAN JACINTO— 0500H daily

         SAN JACINTO to BULAN— 1100H daily

         PHP 180 per passenger

         ** Vessel: RORO / BULAN to SAN JACINTO (vice versa) is a RORO and can accommodate vehicles. Rate will depend on the type of vehicle. A sedan will cost PHP 4,500 per way. **

         PILAR to SAN JACINTO— 1400H Monday to Saturday only

         SAN JACINTO to PILAR –0630H Monday to Saturday only

         VIP class: PHP 10,000 (good for 8pax)

         Tourist Class: PHP 400 per person

         Economy Class: PHP 350 per person

MASBATE CITY TO TICAO ISLAND RESORT

From Masbate to Ticao Island Resort, you have the option to:

(1) Travel  by sea from Masbate City to Lagundi Port (Batuan) and then travel by land from Lagundi Port to San Jacinto.

(2) Travel by sea from Masbate City to San Jacinto

(3) Upon arrival in San Jacinto, you will need to travel from San Jacinto to Ticao Island Resort

BY SEA: MASBATE CITY to LAGUNDI PORT

· The public ferry schedule and rates can be found below:

         MASBATE CITY to LAGUNDI— 1000H / 1200H / 1300H daily

         LAGUNDI to MASBATE CITY—0530H / 0630H / 1300H daily

         PHP 210 per passenger (Fast Craft)

         PHP 180 per passenger (RORO)

BY LAND : LAGUNDI PORT to SAN JACINTO / TICAO ISLAND RESORT

Upon arrival at Lagundi, you have the options of:

· From Lagundi, you can take a habal habal (motorcycle which is the most common form of transportation on the island) straight to Ticao Island Resort.

         PHP 500 per motorcycle / 45 minute ride

· From Lagundi, you can take a public jeep or van to San Jacinto town. Then you can check the options for travel from San Jacinto town to Ticao Island Resort (listed below).

· A private van, may also be arranged from Lagundi to San Jacinto town will cost PHP 2,500 per van per way. For an additional PHP 1,000, the van may go straight to the resort, but this is weather dependent since the road to the resort is not passable by vehicle when it is wet.

BY SEA: MASBATE CITY to SAN JACINTO

         SAN JACINTO to MASBATE CITY –1600H Mon to Sat only

SAN JACINTO TOWN to TICAO ISLAND RESORT

All ROROs, fast crafts, ferries, and public transportation vans and jeeps, will stop at San Jacinto town, to get to Ticao Island   Resort, you may:

· Private boat from San Jacinto to Ticao Island Resort. PHP 2,000 per way / maximum of 8 persons per boat/20 min ride

· Habal habal (motorcycle which is the most common form of transportation on the island) straight to Ticao Island Resort. PHP 200 per motorcycle / 20 minute ride
